Bell folding organ

A folding reed organ from the Bell Piano and Organ Co. Ltd., Guelph, Canada.
The metal attatched tag reads, "The Traveller Folding Organ Manufactured by the Bell Piano and Organ Co. Limited Guelph Canada."
In gold lettering on the wooden lid reads, "From the Leach Piano Co. Limited Montreal."

Folded in its travelling position the organ measures 29 1/2" x 12" x 19" tall. In the standing position, it measures 29" tall.

Company history:
Founded as Bell, W., & Co., Guelph, Ontario; founded in 1864 by the Bell brothers William and Robert. William assumed management in 1865.The name W. Bell & Co. was used at least as early as 1871 when a new factory was opened. The company changed owners in 1888 and changed the name to Bell Organ & Piano Co., and in 1907 changed again to Bell Piano & Organ Co. Made a variety of models including the Bellolian, a player reed organ.
In 1881 with 200 employees the capacity was 1200, and in 1906 was 6000 organs per year. Organ production was discontinued in 1928.
