1 manual organ. With cover closed it looks like a desk. This solid black walnut Victorian organ has black accent trim on the edges, hand-painted panels throughout the entire case with Victorian children and lady's along the sides and top and an oval painting in the center of the base of an outdoor scene, and brass art Nouveau style foot covers.
On the left and right side in front there is a storage cavity for sheet music.

Metal plate on front of organ says:
Design of Case Patented October 22, 1867.

Company history:
Factory in Woodbridge, CT 1850-65, burned in 1865 and Shoninger bought the Treat & Linsley's factory in New Haven, CT. Bernard Shoninger was still president in 1887, and his son Simon B. secretary. The company was renamed B. Shoninger Organ & Piano Co.

The two picture frame ebony-finished molded doors open to expose a storage cavity for sheet music that is 6" wide x 11" deep x 18" high.

Above the picture frame molded panel underneath the keyboard, there is an oval brass tag that says the design of the case was patented October 22, 1867.
