ALEXANDRE ET FILS
ROS Reg No. 6319

Behind the music desk, there is a label: "Alexandre & Fils Inventeurs & Facteurs 39 rue Meslay 39 Paris - Drawing Room Model"

The Dawes melody attachment is the 16th installment, which uses a mechanism so that if there are more than one note played on the treble, all other notes for 3, 4, 5 & C are canceled out and only the highest notes sounds, while stop 1 still plays all notes. This device was a later addition to this instrument.

276 reeds, 8.16.4.8 (4 x 61) = 244, treble Celeste 8 = 32
