BURDETT ORGAN CO. LTD.
ROS Reg No. 6422

In 2000, the 100th anniversary of Steamboat Springs' incorporation and in in honor of our town's founding father James Crawford and his family, I was asked to check over this instrument and make any repairs if needed. I found it to be in sound playable condition due to the fact that it had been well cared for and hadn't been played much since our museum acquired it. I don't recall seeing a serial number or recording it.
At the time, 19 years ago, I was oboist with our Steamboat Symphony Orchestra. I had thoughts of wanting to incorporate this organ into a piece with the orchestra as part of our town's centenary celebrations only to find it's tuned at A=452, not A-440, which orchestras tune to!
