Organ is in semi working condition. Several stuck and non working keys, the Vox Humana (Tremelo) is missing one of its blades. The mechanism for the knee swells are there but the actual wooden blades are missing. The foot pumps, however seem to work very well. When pumped vigorously a played note will continue to sound for several seconds after pumping has stopped. A full restoration is planned.
I got this organ for free from a pair of crafters who had planned to gut the case and turn it into a bench. Fortunately, the sale of their rental home was forcing them to move and give up their plans for this organ. It was marked $30 from a garage sale they'd had and it did not sell.
The evidence is there that this once had an ornate top. When I pulled off the top of the organ, which had been fastened down with finishing nails, I could see the countersinks from the screws that had held the top on. From the outside, the screw holes have been plugged with dowels. It would be nice to find pictures of a similar organ complete with its top so that I could attempt to duplicate and replace it. So far, there are marked differences in all the other organs I've seen images of.
