No information is available about this organ's history prior to 1933 when it was purchased in Washington D.C. by Helen McNarney. She was the wife of General Joseph T. McNarney who during World War II became the commanding general of the U.S. Forces in the European Theater. Work was done on the organ in 1951 prior to the General's retirement when he moved to San Diego, CA. In 1976, it was given to their granddaughter who lives in Sacramento, CA. It was given to me and restored in Spring of 2023. Signature and tuner date of 1868 found on the back of the keyboard.
