This instrument was gifted to me as the music teacher at Hornepayne Public High School, who indicated it was built around 1898. The instrument was in a nearby town (Manitouwadge, ON) and was moved from there to Hornepayne.
I am hoping to restore the instrument and place it in the large music room of the public school, along with a baby grand piano was donated to the school by the local United Church which recently closed its doors.
Dealer name on decal centered on stopboard: "Made for C.O. McDonald, Amherst, N.S. [Nova Scotia]
