A seraphine. Ivory naturals with cherry risers; 1 eight-foot rank; key-keeper is a strip of wood held down over key tails with wooden nuts over 5 threaded rods. Sound board is chestnut (same wood as case core). Two cast iron treadles: right one is wind; left one is swell, opening a shutter over full compass. Reeds are channel-type, mounted upside-down. Stretcher is >-< type, which each leg over an L-shaped pin. Pitch is A430.
