TITZ, PETER
ROS Reg No. 7108

In Austria, the instrument was standing in an attic with the windchest open and not screwed down, where it suffered water damage. Brought to the Black Forest in the early 2000s. The valve plate of the windchest had cracked open lengthwise due to moisture and was reglued by the organ builder. The exterior was very weathered, a new coat of shellac was started at home but not completed. The wind system was sealed with lamb leather. The hammers of the percussion action and the stop action are not optimally adjusted. Estimated to be from the 1870s era, during 1868-1878, Peter Titz produced under the label 'Kaiserl. Königl. Hof'. Pitch is A438.
