Handpumped box case harmonium. At the turn of the millennium, I acquired the instrument from a kindergarten teacher and also used it a lot myself for educational purposes. Recently disassembled to replace the bad and flaking varnish with a new polish. The hand lever can probably also be operated with the foot by means of a loop, hence the recess on the handle of the lever. Three octaves of range from G2 to G5 correspond almost exactly to the combined range of the human singing voices without the lowest bass and highest soprano notes. "1962" handwritten inside the lid under the apparently modern varnish. Pitch is A439.
