Located in Ohio. date found on edge of keybed. Notice the brass music holders. I can''t find much information on Forrest & Son, other than that they sold and tuned pianos, harmoniums, and "American style organs"; they operated at various addresses in Shrewsbury (in Shropshire, England), and were in business at least as late as 1946. They moved to the 37, Castle Street address some time between 1880 and 1884, and moved to a different address some time between 1919 and 1928.
The serial number is stamped into the back of the case, inside the keyboard cover, and inside the key slip.
What''s actually written on the end of the key bed is "10/1/7"; I''m assuming that''s a date of manufacture of 10 January 1907 (which does fall within the period that they were located at 37, Castle Street).
The unfinished parts of the keys are stamped with the numbers 1-61; the last key also has "E WOOD" stamped into it.
