Located in New Jersey. Bass/treble break at keys 29/30.The instrument is currently unplayable as the winding system is mostly missing. Estimating bass/treble break from arrangement of reeds under the keyboard. Unable to give pitch levels of stops. Will update this entry once I restore this to playable condition.
"Extra made for Franz Altstatt" has been inscribed in Old English script on the board containing the manufacturer''s label. Although this inscription is in English, I assume this use of "extra" is a false cognate made by the German builder. "Extra" in German would mean "Specially" or "Specifically"--so this may have been a custom order by Mr. Altstatt.
