Located at the St. Andrews Rectory, 347 River Rd., St. Andrews, Manitoba, Canada. This harmonium was sent from England to be used in the Diocese of Athabasca by Bishop Young, in present-day northern Alberta. The boat carrying the instrument capsized while navigating the rivers from the Hudson Bay to Lake Winnipeg. This harmonium was all that could be recovered from the wreck. It was brought to St. Andrews, Manitoba where it was cared for by Sunday school teacher John Thompson until "better transportation" could be established. It never was, and the harmonium became the shared property of St. Andrews and St. Thomas Churches where it remained in use until 1888. During this time, four iron rings were added to the corners of the instrument in which poles were inserted to transport it between services. *stops were either missing or illegible.
