"Square piano with æolian attachment", combination of square grand piano and a reed organ. There are 77 reeds (one set). Reeds are Coleman''s Patent April 17, 1844. Under serial # is AE 1271. Four pedals: swell, dampers, moderator, bellows.
The piano part of this instrument is a fairly typical American square grand of the late 1840''s. Compass is 6 and 1/3 octaves (FF to a4). 73" x 35".
Similar examples are found in the Boston Mus of Fine Arts and the National Music Museum (SD). For sale on EBay in Bangor, PA asking $2800, Jan 2015.
