This Rare 17 stop, 294 reed S&C Oak Chapel organ was manufactured in London and sold through W.S. Riley & Sons. Known as the Mozart #2, it was an economic offering for those churches which couldn't afford the more expensive 19 stop Mozart model. It was most likely used in a chapel setting and could have served a number of churches in it's early years. It was eventually shipped to the United States in the mid 1980s, where it was purchased by an antique collector In Los Angeles, California for $895. It would remain there for approximately 40 years. --- In January, 2023 this organ was offered for sale at the family's estate sale and purchased by the current owner. This 17 stop chapel organ is the only known one of it's kind in the world.
